Flood of Media is operated by Kevin Flood, a Hartford, Connecticut-based writer, editor and webmaster who offers a unique combination of backgrounds in "new" and "old" media to organizations, businesses, and individuals who need multi-faceted yet highly personalized communication plans. Kevin currently works as public information officer and webmaster for the Connecticut Commission on Children and in his spare time operates HartfordHistory.net, an award-winning website dedicated to the history of the city. From 2001 to 2005, he edited websites for Business & Legal Reports Inc. of Old Saybrook, Conn. From 1992 to 2001, he was an associate editor for the Journal Inquirer, a daily newspaper based in Manchester, Connecticut. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter for the newspaper, covering Enfield, East Hartford, and the state Capitol.

Kevin grew up in Portland, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Hartford with a BA in communication arts. In May 2003, the Hartford Preservation Alliance honored his work on HartfordHistory.net by presenting him with its Jeffery S. Czopor Award. He served on the board of the Alliance from 2006 to 2008. He also served as president of the Members Council of the Wadsworth Atheneum. In other words, he's a Hartford kind of guy.
